Daughters of the King
Daughters of the King is an international order made up of women between the ages of seven and one hundred and seven who desire a closer walk with the Lord. We are lay and ordained Christian women, who are strengthened through the discipline of a Rule of Life and supported through the companionship of our sisters. In our Rule of Life, prayer always comes first. We pray daily for the unity of Christ's church, for the spread of Christ's Kingdom, especially among women and girls, for God's blessing upon the members of the Order, and for the spiritual growth of the parish and for the clergy of the parish to which the chapter owes allegiance. If you have any questions, please contact Sue Corbin, group leader.
St. Michael’s has a dedicated and enthusiastic group that builds fellowship through fund raising efforts. Money raised is given through Mercy and Social Justice grants to agencies that our members are connected with, which are doing the work of Christ in the World.
We are a congregation that loves to gather for food and fellowship. Our main church lunch and dinners include:
• Luncheon after the Annual Meeting • Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper • Luncheon for the Bishop • Maundy Thursday Dinner • Easter Brunch and Easter Egg Hunt • Mother’s Day reception • Acolyte Appreciation Lunch • A welcome back picnic in the Fall • A St. Michael’s Feast Day lunch • All Souls dinner following the All Souls Church Service • New Consecration Sunday breakfast, lunch, and reception after the 5pm service
In addition, we have a lovely coffee hour after the 8 am and 10 am services to welcome any visitors, answer any questions, and be together as a community. Please contact Kate Muris if you have any questions.
The Men's Breakfast group is a group of men that meets for breakfast at 8:00 a.m. on the second Saturday of each month at Country Waffle on Fair Oaks Blvd. The group is not restricted to members of St. Michael's and has no agenda or program. The men's group organizes, prepares and serves the Shrove Tuesday pancake supper and the Welcome Back Sunday picnic. Please contact Dick Pryor with any questions.
This name stands for: Retired Old Men Eating Out. They meet monthly on the third Thursday at noon. Please see the calendar for details.
St. Margaret's Guild
St. Margaret’s Guild is a women’s group at St. Michael’s that gathers for lunch on the 2nd Monday. Each time we meet, we collect $1.00 from each attendee for outreach. We have been known in the past to gather clothing for babies and toddlers to give to St. Matthew’s for distribution to needy families. We also regularly make contributions to food programs.
